This guide takes you from a new workspace to a working alert. You need a Ferrow account and a URL you want to watch.

1. Create a monitor

  1. Open Monitors and choose New monitor.

  2. Paste the URL, for example https://api.example.com/health.

  3. Leave the interval at 1 minute and the regions at the defaults.

2. Connect Slack

Open Integrations, choose Slack and approve the workspace. Pick the channel that should receive alerts.

3. Test the alert

Use the button below the monitor to send a test alert. You should see a message in the channel within a few seconds.

curl -X POST https://api.ferrow.dev/v1/monitors/mon_123/test \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $FERROW_TOKEN"
