The Ferrow agent is a small program that runs your checks from inside your own network and reports results to Ferrow.

Requirements

  • Linux, macOS or a container runtime

  • Outbound HTTPS to agent.ferrow.dev

  • A token with the write monitors scope

Install with Docker

docker run -d --name ferrow-agent \
  -e FERROW_TOKEN=frw_live_xxx \
  ferrow/agent:latest
docker run -d --name ferrow-agent \
  -e FERROW_TOKEN=frw_live_xxx \
  ferrow/agent:latest
docker run -d --name ferrow-agent \
  -e FERROW_TOKEN=frw_live_xxx \
  ferrow/agent:latest

Install with a package manager

On macOS use Homebrew. On Debian and Ubuntu add the Ferrow repository and install the package named ferrow-agent.

Check that it is connected

The agent appears under Settings, then Probes, within 30 seconds. A green dot means it is reporting.
